
Vermont, home of the Center for Cartoon Studies (which was founded by SVA MFA Illustration as Visual Essay alum James Sturm), has instituted a Cartoonist Laureate position and installed prolific cartoonist James Kochalka as it’s inaugural holder of the title. Huzzah! We hope to see more states follow their lead.
