Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 4:30-5:30 – Allison Bechdel at the Visual Arts Library (yes TOMORROW!)
Alison Bechdel, author of Fun Home and the long running strip Dykes to Watch Out For, is in town for the publication of The Best American Comics 2011, which she edited this year (the series editors are SVA’s own Jessica Abel and Matt Madden and the cover was done by Jillian Tamaki). She will appear at Barnes and Noble, along with Gabrielle Bell and Kevin Mutch at 7 pm tomorrow night, Tuesday, Oct. 18. But before that SVA students and faculty will get a chance to hear her talk about her work and take questions at the Visual Arts Library. Light refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you!
