Yesterday was SVA’s Graduation day at Radio City Music Hall. The ceremony was streamed and is now available for viewing online (in either Hi Res or Lower Res versions).
Greil Marcus, famed rock critic and cultural theorist and writer of Believer Magazine’s Real Life Rock Top Ten, was this year’s commencement speaker. He talked about the distinction between high and low culture, which he called both ‘false’ and ‘permanent’.
