Philip Seymour Hoffman RIP

The sad news of the untimely death of Philip Seymour Hoffman has led to a flood of appreciations for his special talent for inhabiting a role fully and yet staying himself. As a movie watcher in the 90s I recall Hoffman as one of those actors with a familiar face who suddenly popped to the fore with a role, in his case for me it was ‘Boogie Nights’.
