The Great Summer Shift of 2015

If you’ve been in the library this summer you may have noticed some activity in the stacks. Namely, librarians pulling and evaluating books, newly empty shelves, and some thorough cleaning and vacuuming. What’s going on?

Libraries routinely weed their collections to evaluate out of date items, replace worn out or damaged items, and to make room for new items. This is one of our summer projects in the SVA Library, and while we’re at it, we’re cleaning the stacks, shifting some books, and even getting some new shelving.  If you have trouble finding anything, or if something isn’t where you thought it was, it may have been moved. Just grab one of your friendly librarians, and we’ll be happy to help you locate what you’re looking for.
